Biography[edit]

Childhood[edit]

Meeting Aliki Vougiouklaki and becoming involved in acting[edit]

She was born in Athens at 1971. At 1981, at the age of 9 years, she was chosen by Aliki Vougiouklaki for the leading role in the "Annnen" theatrical performance that went up to the Alice Garmenter in the summer of the same year. Her participation in the great success led to the decision to deal professionally with acting.[1]

Ellinikós Telikós Eurovision 1983 (Greek National Eurovision Final 1983)[edit]

In 1983 he participated in the Greek National Final of Eurovision with the song "I will leave", Lyrics Aristides Pavili, and the orchestration of Giorgos Niarchos.[2]It was ranked 10th in the ERT Committee's vote (which consisted of representatives of 20 municipalities and 30 members of the public), defeated by the song "Mou les " by Kristi Stasinopoulou. If Ariel had gone to the 1983 competition, she would have held the record for the youngest singer to appear in that competition.[3]

The song is a ballad, with Ariel to sing for social problems (use nuclear weapons, media propaganda, immigration, etc.), while in the first lyrics it refers to measures that are all called (citizens) to adhere to (which can indirectly associate with those that are taken to deal with the current COVID-19 pandemic[4] or those obtained to address economic problems) and which extend to entertainment. At the same time, he stresses that "she will leave" (phrase that refers to several points) from the place where it is located (saving from people who "mad" mind) and when, finally, find a new part ("island"), then He will notify other people to go to it.
