Arik Forsman (born February 27, 1988) is an American politician who serves as an At Large City Councilor.[1] in Duluth, Minnesota.

Early life, education, and career[edit]

Forsman was first appointed[2] to the Duluth City Council on July 16, 2018, filling the seat vacated by Elissa Hansen. He went on to win a seat for a full term on the council in 2019[3]. He serves as council vice president in 2021[4]. In his day job, Forsman works at Minnesota Power as an economic development professional[5], where he helps lead Minnesota Power’s business retention, expansion and recruitment efforts across northeastern and central Minnesota.

Personal life[edit]

Forsman and his wife, Jessica, met in 2004 when they both attended Mesabi East High School in Aurora, Minnesota. They both attended the University of Minnesota Duluth, were married in 2009, and have two children[6]
