Aristidis M. Tsatsakis
Aristides M. Tsatsakis.[1] (born 1957), is the Professor of Toxicology and Director of the Laboratory of Toxicology & Forensic Sciences at the Medical School of the University of Crete[2]
Aristides Tsatsakis studied Chemical Engineering at the Mendeleyev University[3] (Moscow, 1980) and completed his MSc in Chemistry (1982) and PhD in Organic Chemistry (1986).
His research work[4] focuses on the development and improvement of methods for the analysis of xenobiotics, biomonitoring and recording of their acute and long-term effects on human health, the use of macromolecular systems and their toxicity, length of telomeric ends in cellular aging and their association with chronic diseases, nanomedicine and nanotoxicology.
