Aritra Das is an Indian film producer that produces Hindi and Bengali movies. He is a producer at Assorted Motion Pictures, and his production list includes Cakewalk (2019), Seasons Greetings (2019), and Ek Duaa (2021).[1][2]
Career
Having studied engineering and worked in business management, Aritra Das became engaged in digital marketing and films. It was in this profession that he met the director Ram Kamal Mukherjee and Assorted Motion Pictures.[3]
His first credit was Cakewalk, a 2019 Hindi short film directed by Mukherjee and starring Esha Deol. In 2018 the trade press covered Das's involvement in the film.[4]
He went on to produce Seasons Greetings and Broken Frame (both 2019), Subho Bijoya (2020), and Rickshawala and Ek Duaa (both 2021), all directed by Mukherjee. He also worked on The Inside Job, a short film by Shieladitya Moulik.[5]
Ek Duaa received a Special Mention in the non-feature film category at the 69th National Film Awards. The honour went to the film, not to Das personally.[6]
Production ventures
Das has been associated with Assorted Motion Pictures from 2015 along with Ram Kamal Mukherjee and Sarbani Mukherjee. The production house produces short and full-length films in Hindi and Bengali.
In May 2024, Millennium Post reported that Das was starting a new venture.[7]
