Arjun Patel (born 7 November 1996) is an Indian cricketer who plays for Madhya Pradesh.

Early life and background[edit]

He belongs to a business[1] family who are pioneers in Bidi and have been continuously elected as public representatives. Grandfather Shravan Patel has represented the county as a member of parliament,[2] member of the legislative assembly and cabinet minister. He has not only represented Ranji trophy but also served cricket at the highest level as chairman[3] of Madhya Pradesh cricket association. Father Dr. Nishith Patel is also a Member of legislative assembly[4] and has served as acting president and vice president[5] of Madhya Pradesh cricket association.

Career[edit]

He has represented Madhya Pradesh[6] in the Vijay Merchant Trophy, Cooch Behar Trophy and Col C.K. Nayudu Trophy.[7]

He made his debut for Madhya Pradesh on 15 December 2012 in the Vijay Merchant trophy. He has Captained Madhya Pradesh in Vijay Merchant and was the highest run scorer for Madhya Pradesh he scored 492 runs[8] in the tournament. He made his cooch behar debut against Mumbai In his debut match he scored 98 runs and took 5 wickets.[9] He has also Captained Madhya Pradesh in Cooch Behar in the year 2014-15[10] and 2015-16 [11] and was selected for Zonal cricket Academy (ZCA) 2013-14 [12] and 2014-15.[13]

He has been a part of 3 international tours Australia,[14]Bangladesh[15] and Sri Lanka.
