Armada Investment AG is a privately held investment firm and family office headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland. Founded in the year 2000 by Swiss entrepreneur and investor Daniel Aegerter, the firm manages assets across private equity, venture capital, public equities, and real estate, with a focus on backing early-stage technology companies.

History

Armada Investment was established in 2000 by Daniel S. Aegerter following the sale of his B2B e-commerce software company, Tradex Technologies, to SAP Ariba for $5.6 billion—one of the largest software acquisitions at the time.[1][2]

Investments

  • SpaceX: Daniel invested in the company around 2016, while initially skeptical, his then-19-year-old son persuaded him to invest. Steve Jurvetson, who had previously invested in Tradex Technologies helped make the investment possible [3] [4]
  • RIVR (formerly Swiss-Mile): In August 2024, Armada co-lead the seed investment round together with Bezos Expeditions, HongShan and others. [5] RIVR was acquired by Amazon in March 2026. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.[6]
  • Oklo Inc: Armada invested in all rounds from pre-seed in 2015 to pre-IPO 2024.[7][8]
  • Stellos (formerly ShareP): Armada invested in the seed round following their innosuisse award grant.[9][10]
  • Studsvik: In February 2025 Armada purchased a 9.9% stake in the company.[11] The fund boosted it's position to just under 30% in June 2025.[12]
