ARMECONOMBANK is an Armenian commercial bank. The full name of the bank is "Armenian Economy Development Joint Bank"" joint-stock company (CJSC).
History
ARMECONOMBANK OJSC (former Armenian Republican Bank of USSR “Zhilsotsbank”) to be reorganized into a joint-stock bank and registered with the Central Bank of Armenia on 26 August 1991 (license of banking activity number 1, registration certificate number 0156).[3]։ Among the most important issues of the strategy adopted by the Bank are strengthening of the positions in the market and attraction of new customers constantly focusing on the introduction of the latest digital technologies, the improvement of the quality of customer service, the expansion of the provision of new and modern banking services.
Participation in financial market
The bank is a member of World Company of International Financial Communications (S.W.I.F.T), member of MoneyGram, UniStream, Golden Money Transfer, Ria Money Transfer, IntelExpress, Moneytun payment systems, as well as an affiliate of MASTERCARD INTERNATIONAL payment system, full member of VISA INTERNATIONAL payment system, full member and shareholder of Armenian Card CJSC.
The bank is rated by international Fitch Ratings and Moody’s Investors Service rating agencies.

Branch and service network
Armeconombank has a wide branch network[7] consisting of 54 branches (including the Head Office), of which 31 are located in Yerevan, 22 in the regions of Armenia, 1 in the Republic of Artsakh. Armeconombank OJSC is regulated by the CB.
