Armen Nahapetian[edit]

Armen Nahapetian(born in 2007) is an American born actor of Armenian descent[1]. He is best know for playing the role of Teen Beau[2][3] in the Ari Aster's 2023 film, Beau Is Afraid. Nahapetian's performance as Teen Beau in "Beau Is Afraid" garnered critical acclaim, with some reviewers praising his portrayal of the character.[4][5] There was wide talk of Armen not being a real person but rather, an A.I. or CGI rendering, of a de-aged Joaquin Phoenix[6]. He has addressed it and put that rumor to rest[7][8]

Early Life[edit]

Nahapetian was born in Southern California and raised in Huntington Beach. His father was born in Iran and came to the United States as a refugee.

Armen's mother was born and raised in Huntington Beach and studied abroad at Catholic University of the West in Angers, France for a short time.

Career[edit]

Armen was in several non-SAG commercials before he got his breakout role in 2017 as a Calivon Child[9] in The Orville. He has since gone on to star in roles for Netflix, portraying 8 Year Old Eli[10] in Daybreak and as Brick[11] in AJ and The Queen. In addition to playing Jason[12] in the 2020 film, aTypical Wednesday, Nahapetian also had a recurring role as 8 Year Old Shokrani[13] in the HBO series Here and Now.

Personal Life[edit]

Armen Nahapetian has been acting since the age of 8 and is the middle brother of actors Marcel Nahapetian and Remy Nahapetian.
