Army of the Dead is a upcoming American action horror film directed by Zack Snyder, from a screenplay by Snyder and Joby Harold. The film stars Forest Whitaker. The film will be released on Netflix.

The film was initially announced planned as a sequel to the 2004 film Dawn of the Dead with Universal Studios and Warner Bros. Entertainment and was to be directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr..[1] In January 2019, it was announced that Netflix had acquired the rights to the project from Warner Bros., with Zack Snyder set to direct from a script by himself and Joby Harold.[2] The film is set to commence production in the summer of 2019 with a budget of $90 million.[2] Dave Bautista was cast in April.[3]
