Career

Baradi represented Letran in college.[4] His most significant achievement came when he won the first-ever gold for his country in the 1984 Asian Taekwondo Championships.[5][3] He also won silver in the finweight division of the 1985 World Games.[6]

In 1987, Baradi competed in that year's SEA Games, winning a bronze medal.[7][8] He also competed in the World Taekwondo Championships that year, but lost in the second round to Bidhan Lama of Nepal as he was suffering with dizziness at the time.[9][10] In 1988, he competed in the Asian Championships once again, but lost early in the tournament to Kwon Tae-ho of South Korea.[11][12]

Personal life

Baradi's stepsister is Eva Marie Ditan, also a taekwondo athlete. He was a big influence on her learning taekwondo.[5][13]

Baradi currently owns a Taekwondo school in Las Pinas City and is the head instructor in three other schools, which include Assumption College.[2]
