Biography
Under the leadership of Arsen Liametov, Skyro has evolved from an early-stage startup into a company with a strong market position within just a few years. The platform has reached more than 1 million customers across Southeast Asia and achieved operational profitability. He currently leads the group’s international expansion, including the development of Skyro’s presence in the GCC, as well as planned entry into African and additional Southeast Asian markets.
With over 15 years of leadership experience, Arsen Liametov has worked at the intersection of risk management, product development, and business growth. His focus is on how technology can make financial services more accessible in emerging markets. He combines strategic thinking, AI-driven transformation, and regulatory expertise to enable faster market entry and sustainable scaling.
Before co-founding Skyro, Arsen Liametov held senior roles at Renaissance Credit and Tinkoff, an LSE-listed bank with a broad international investor base. There, he contributed to the development of digital lending, payment infrastructure, and risk management strategy.
At Tinkoff, Arsen Liametov played a key role in launching the first Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) service in its market. This initiative helped shape a new segment in consumer finance and made installment-based payments more accessible, transparent, and user-friendly. It also supported the rapid growth of the bank’s lending and transaction businesses.
This period strengthened his reputation as a professional who not only develops existing products but also helps create entirely new financial categories.
Arsen Liametov holds a degree in economics from the Higher School of Economics in Russia and has completed the Executive Education program at INSEAD.
