The initiative has supported conservation from the donations of artwork by artists: The Haas Brothers, Rashid Johnson, Cindy Sherman, Robert Longo,[3] Jonas Wood,[4] Jenny Holzer,[5] and Jackson Pollock donated by Justus Striebich.[6]
The initiative supports education on climate-warming emissions and reduction approaches using metric-based methods to calculate greenhouse gas emissions within the arts sector. They provide support to institutions and organizations in doing their initial carbon calculation.[citation needed] The initiative lists supporting the following artists and arts organizations with their first carbon calculations and conservation: Hauser & Wirth,[7] ARTA,[8] James Cohan Gallery,[9] Marianne Boesky Gallery[10] and Galleries Commit.[11]
