Artem Yasynskyy (born 1988 in Donetsk, Ukrainian SSR) is a classical pianist and university lecturer.
Career[edit]
Yasynskyy was born in 1988 into a family of professional musicians in Donetsk[1].At the age of seven he was a student of Albina Oryschuk at the Special School for Gifted Children in Donetsk and gave his first public concert at the age of eight. A scholarship from the President of Ukraine from 2006 to 2010 enabled him to study at the Prokofiev State Academy of Music, where he also took composition lessons with Aleksander Rudjansky. In 2010, he graduated with honors from his bachelor's degree program.[2]
Artem Yasynskyy went to Germany in 2010 to begin postgraduate studies at the Hochschule für Künste Bremen with Patrick O'Byrne. This was followed by a master's degree, from which he graduated with honors.[3] His studies were supported by various scholarships including the Keyboard Charitable Trust, the Vere Music Fund, the Fondation Clavarte, the Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben, and the Hans and Stefan Bernbeck Foundation. In March 2015, he completed his master's degree and became a lecturer in piano major at the same university.[4]
He has performed as a soloist with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra; Utah Symphony Orchestra; Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra; Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra; National Symphony Orchestra of Ukraine. In 2016, he made his Carnegie Hall debut.[5]

- 2012: 3rd prize at the Gian Battista Viotti International Music Competition, Italy[6]
- 2013: Main Prize as well as Hofmann Prize at the First German Piano Competition of Polish Music (International Theodor Leschetizky Competition) in Hamburg, Germany
- 2013: Bronze Medal as well as Audience Award at the Sendai International Music Competition
- 2014: Bronze Medal at the Gina Bachauer International Piano Competition, Salt Lake City, USA[7]
- 2015: Finalist at the Honens International Piano Competition (Canada)[8]
- 2015: 1st prize at the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati, USA[9]
- 2017: 3rd prize at the Top of the World International Piano Competition, Norway[10]
- 2021: 2nd prize and 5 further prizes at the Sydney International Piano Competition[11]
