The Arthur Beetson Cup is a rugby league trophy usually contested biannually during the National Rugby League season, in matches between the Sydney Roosters and the Dolphins. The trophy is named after rugby league immortal Arthur Beetson who played for both the Roosters (then known as the Eastern Suburbs Roosters), and the Redcliffe Dolphins during his career. He said that if the Roosters ever played the Dolphins it would be a spectacle.[citation needed] These two teams will play their first game against each other in round 1 of the 2023 NRL season and in round 24 later in that season.[1]
