Arthur DeHart
Arthur DeHart (born July 3, 2000 in Knoxville, TN) is a transgender American poet, novelist, podcaster, playwright and artist. He originally hails from East Tennessee, way up in the Appalachian mountains. He is the author of many books of poetry as well as novellas, audio dramas and plays. DeHart is also known for his oil paintings with show credits around the country. For a short period of time he lived in a van with his husband to pursue his passion for art.:[1] He is the owner and lead writer of audio drama company Deep Wood Productions[2] and co-Editor in Chief of Naked Cat Publishing with his husband Ryan DeHart.[3]

Notability
Arthur DeHart has been a guiding light for those who are transgender in Tennessee and he is only getting started. He has been referred to as a "rising star" in an interview he did with Knoxville Voyager. [7] He speaks out for those who have lost their voice. His books are reviewed highly by those saying he makes a name, "exploring what love can mean and what a poet can be."[8] He has had poems featured in many magazines, both online and physical. One of those being "en*gendered lit"[9] His shows "Dreadwood Press Radio" and "Dreadpod" have both been nominated for Audioverse Awards. [10] While on the visual side he has been nominated many times for the "Best of the Best" award for painting in Knoxville, Tennessee. [11] His podcasts have racked up over ten thousand listeners, and continue to grow every day. They also have raving reviews. [12]
