Artistinfo (Music.metason.net) is a Swiss website, application and database about audio recordings, operating since 2015. It is a project of the Swiss company Metason.

The site was launched in 2015, and for unknown reasons has been abandoned since 2020. Probably because Metason has a new project – ARchi VR.
As of April 9, 2023, Artistinfo contains information about more than 2 million artists, 472 thousand bands and 5 million releases.[1]
History
Metason was founded in February 2013 by Philipp Ackermann in Zürich, Switzerland,[2] and the domain metason.net was registered on February 18, 2013,[3] and Artistinfo was its first major project. Artistinfo was registered in 2015, and its headquarters was also in Zürich. After domain registration music.metason.net, an Artistinfo app has been released for iOS and macOS. Since then, the site has been actively developing until 2020, until, for unknown reasons, it was abandoned. As of April 9, 2023, Artistinfo contains information about more than 2 million artists, 472 thousand bands and 5 million releases.[1]
