Artpop Cosmetics Inc. (abbreviated as AP) is an American cosmetics & skincare company with it's headquarters in Los Angeles, California. It develops and creates cosmetics that range from more brighter and vibrant colors to nude toned colors.

The company was founded by Jordan Leveau (CEO) and Aaron Black (CCO) [1] in February of 2018 after originally operating as Leveau & Black Inc. [2] The company was founded on the idea that cosmetics can be used to modernize pop culture and provide a fun and exciting way for everyone to feel beautiful in their own skin. With the company creating trending hashtags like #whatmakesyouPOP and #whatmakesyoufeelbeautiful to spread the message of acceptance around the globe.

The company also became an official PETA Certified brand in July of 2018 [3], helping it stay in-line with it's core values. The brand since the beginning has agreed to never test not harm an animal to prove that beauty does not need to use animals as a source for cosmetics.

Where it all began[edit]

Jordan and Aaron met in Los Angeles, California where the original idea started out as a clothing line, in which the two put their past experiences together to build something they both enjoyed, fashion. Jordan at the time was majoring in business management and wanted to do something that would put his degree to the test, allowing him to take his new found knowledge and apply it to a full-time career. While Aaron on the other hand graduated from Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising.

As time passed by, so did their day jobs in which time was being consumed and taken over while they were trying to start a business. Both of them became so caught up in their daily lives, that the clothing line started to die out making it almost nonexistent. This is where things took a turn, when Jordan in the middle of the night came up with the idea of building a cosmetic line. This is where Leveau & Black came to life, the original cosmetic line using last names of the owners.

Time passed by and so did ideas, discussions and new team members. During this time Mark Wright (CFO) was hired on to help run finances while Patrick Fong (COO) joined to handle the day to day operations of the line. As time progressed Leveau & Black was something that was being thrown around as too expensive or too couture. So the idea for rebranding was brought up hence the idea of Artpop Cosmetics came into play.

The company was rebranded and took on the new persona of fun, exciting, modern and of course mixing in the idea of pop culture. Where to this day the brand still uses the same values it used with Leveau & Black, this time though they are pushing out fun and exciting new ways to stand out from the crowd. As the brand continues to grow this page will be updated and filled with the life of Artpop Cosmetics and where it goes.
