Arturo Lorenzoni is professor at Università degli Studi di Padova, where he teaches applied economics. Since 2017 has been involved in politics as Deputy Major of the Comune di Padova.

Education[edit]

After graduating from Università degli Studi di Padova in Electrical Engineering and having obtained the engineering license, he completed a Masters Degree in Energy and Environment Economics at Scuola Superiore ENI Enrico Mattei.

Before his PhD in Energetics, he has been Study Fellow at University of Sussex.

Academic Career[edit]

After the PhD from Università degli Studi di Padova, he became teacher at Venice International University, Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Pisa, Master MEDEA (Master in Energy and Environmental Management and Economics) a Eni Corporate University, Master MEMAE (Master in Environmental Management and Economics) all'Università Bocconi, Master RIDEF at Politecnico di Milano, European Institute for Energy in Louvain, Kyoto Club.

From 1993 he is Research Fellow at IEFE, Università Bocconi.

In 1999 becomes Researcher in Applied Economics at Università degli Studi di Padova, from 2005 teaches in the Higher Education sino-italian program on Sustainable Development and Environmental Management at Venice International University.

Since 2006 he's been teaching as Professor in Energy Economics and Electricity Market Economics at Università degli Studi di Padova, where he also does research and coordinates PhD students and researchers as head of the Energy Economics research group.

Other Activities[edit]

In the private sector he is active in consulting (at Fondazione Cariplo, Fundacion Areces, Autorità per l'Energia Elettrica e il Gas, ENEL, APER, ANCE, ENEA, Confindustria, Confartigianato, Italian Ministry for Economic Development and various local government) and representative in various projects spanning from local to european (Horizon 2020, RESHAPE (Reshaping Renewable Energy Support), SESSA (Electricity Sector Strategic Support Action), ENER (European Network on Energy Economics Research), BlueAge, REDS Survey on R&D in Renewables, Favores (Favouring the Convergence of Renewable Energy Support)). In 2008 becomes Founding Member of Galileia S.r.L, a spin-off of Università degli Studi di Padova. He is involved in volunteering and from 2014 to 2017 has been President at Fondazione Fontana.

Politics[edit]

In 2017 he runs at the Local Elections in Padova, becoming Deputy Major of the Comune di Padova.[1]
