Arvida Group Limited (NZX:ARV) is a New Zealand retirement village and aged care operator. It is listed on the New Zealand Stock Exchange and is a member of the NZX 50 Index.[1]

Arvida Group has 32 operational retirement villages located across New Zealand[2] and is currently developing another retirement village in Kerikeri.

History

The business was formed in 2014. On December 18, 2014, Arvida Group amalgamated 17 retirement villages and successfully completed an $80 million IPO[3] that resulted in its shares being listed on the NZX. Since then, a further 14 retirement villages have been acquired by Arvida Group. The most recent acquisitions were completed in 2019 when Arvida Group acquired three retirement villages for $180 million.[4][5]

Assets have increased from $350 million at the time of IPO to almost $2.0 billion as at 31 March 2020.[6]

Company

A range of living options are available to residents living at Arvida Group retirement villages. Options cover the continuum from independent living to fully assisted care, which includes dementia, hospital and rest home nursing care.

Almost 2,600 staff are employed at Arvida Group. In September 2020, Arvida Group was included in the Refinitiv Top 100 Diversity & Inclusion Index.

The current chief executive officer of Arvida Group is Mr Bill McDonald.[7]
