Ashby fire
The Ashby Fire is an ongoing wildfire in Grant County, Nebraska, United States.[1][2] The fire has led to an evacuation being issued in the villages of Hyannis and Ashby. The fire started in Ashby and has burned approximately 75,000 acres. Four National Guard Black Hawk helicopters are attempting to extinguish the fire. Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen has ordered state assets to assist with the fires in the area and posted about it on his social media.[3] The fire was first reported on March 26, 2026.
