Asheq Akhtar

Asheq Akhtar is a British Bangladeshi actor. His acting career began when he was selected as a participant[1] for Gillian Wearing's debut feature film, Self Made (2010). He has appeared in the television series Sherlock (2017), Man like Mobeen (2017), Doctors (2018), Patrick Melrose (2018), Devils (2019), Shakespeare and Hathaway (2018-2019) and His Dark Materials (2019). He has also appeared in feature films including Blinded by the light (2019) and How to build a girl (2019) amongst others.

Akhtar has also written and directed short films that include Robin (2012) which won Tamasha Theatre's 'Who's behind the wheel?' competition[2], On Migration (2013), and We danced in narrow spaces (2014) which opened at the debut Shuffle Festival.
