Ashish Kaul is an Kashmir born, Indian author. Ashish has authored 6 books and a research monograph primarily in the area of gender bias, bringing forth forgotten legendary women of Kashmir alongwith columns in leading publications on issues like minority affairs, diminishing socio-cultural ecosystem of minorities from Kashmir and other social issues. Ashish is widely known for his work on Didda - The Warrior Queen Of Kashmir, StreeDesh-The Forgotten Legendary Women of Kashmir, 1967 Parmeshwari Agitation of Kashmir, Refugee Camp and RakhtGulab. Ashish was also commissioned by Indira Gandhi Centre for the Arts to Direct & Produce a Documentary on 13 Forgotten Legendary women of Kashmir under the title of StreeDesh which was also converted into a Dance Drama by noted danseuse Dr.Sonal ManSingh. Ashish has been actively a part of Media & entertainment Industry for over 29 years in executive leadership roles.
