Ashleigh Townsend (born 5 August 1984) is an English footballer.
Career[edit]
College[edit]
Townsend moved from his native England to the United States in 2003 to play college soccer at the University of the Cumberlands, where he was recognized by the Mid-South Conference all four years as a member of the All-Conference Team.
Professional[edit]
Townsend began his professional career in 2007 when he signed for the Cincinnati Kings of the USL Second Division,[1] and made his professional debut on 21 April 2007 in Cincinnati's 2–0 opening day loss to the Richmond Kickers.[2] He went on to make 19 appearances for the Kings in his debut season.
Following Cincinnati's relegation to the USL Premier Development League, Townsend moved to Wilmington Hammerheads in 2008,[3] and moved to the Real Maryland Monarchs in 2009.[4]
In 2013, Townsend joined Sollefteå GIF, but left the Swedish club before the start of the season.[5]
