Ashley Bella
Ashley Bella (born June 7, 1985, in Atlanta), is an American visual artist, formerly known as Ashley Nicole Ruffin, based in Atlanta, Georgia.
She painted a mural on the exterior wall of the historic King Center building in 2021. She also painted a mural at the Delta Airlines headquarters, telling the story of her former work with human trafficking survivors.[1][2]
She partnered with MARTA Artbound and the City of Atlanta Department of Transportation to paint 150 cement barricades that formed a bike lane on Lee Street along the West End MARTA station.[3] They hired Bella to manage the project and coordinate the community paint days, and the Atlanta Department of Transportation (ATLDOT) is donating the barriers.[4]
In 2016, she left her day job and turned her hobby into a business.[5]
She is the owner of Artzy Bella, an art studio in East Point.[6] The studio teaches people to use art as a therapeutic tool.[7]
She is a Georgia State University alumna.[8]
Ashley Bella serves as the Co-Chair of the Arts and Cultural Subcommittee.[9]
