Ashley Horner is an American fitness celebrity and professional fitness competitor. As a fitness influencer, Horner has authored and sold many successful training programs throughout her career in the industry. In addition to her fitness career, Horner has pursued a number of entrepreneurial and charitable efforts. She is also a mother to three boys.
Fitness Career[edit]
Horner’s fitness career took off after an athletic background that saw her compete in gymnastics and soccer as a kid.[1] Throughout her career, Horner as taken on many ultra-fitness challenges. In a 15-month stretch during 2017 and 2018, she rode 1,350 miles on a bike and climbed Mount Rainer in Washington.[2]
In August 2018, she pledged to complete 50 Ironman Triathlon feats in 50 days in order to raise money for the Maison Fortuné Orphanage in Haiti, but her challenge was cut ultimately short due to a medical scare on the fourth day of her quest.[3] In addition to pursuing fitness challenges, Horner maintains a following of over 740,000 on Instagram as a fitness professional and influencer. She has created over 16 training programs that have combined to sell over one million copies.
She is represented professionally by Athelo Group, a sports agency based out of Stamford, Connecticut.
Business Ventures[edit]
Horner has opened a number of small businesses in Virginia Beach since moving to the city in 2015. In 2016, she opened a coffee/whiskey bar and restaurant called American Brew, which is currently located on East Stratford road in Virginia Beach. According to a November 2020 article from The Virginian-Pilot, Horner plans to open a second restaurant location in 2021. [1]
She also currently holds sponsorships with brands such as SteadyMD, TerraVita CBD, MANSCAPED, Traeger Grills, and Condition One Nutrition.
Charitable Work[edit]
In 2016, Horner started her own non-profit called the Unbroken Foundation, and has since partnered with multiple foundations across the world to raise money via fitness modeling and challenges. In June 2018, she completed a 1300-mile bike ride from Virginia Beach to Tulsa, raising over $6000 for cancer research at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.[4]
Her foundation also has an ongoing relationship with the Maison Fortune Orphanage Foundation in Hinche, Haiti. In April 2017, Horner completed a 230 mile run around the western border of Haiti that ended up raising over $64,000. Horner used that money to pay for the construction of a school at the orphanage site.[5]
Personal Life[edit]
Horner was born in Oklahoma but currently resides in Virginia Beach as of 2015.[1] She has also spent time living in California and Guam. She has three sons: Tripp, Cash, and Otto. [6]
