Ashmere
What is Ashmere?[edit]
Ashmere is a new housing estate in Swanscombe, Kent. It is next to Alkerden (Another new Housing estate) and next to Bluewater Shopping Centre in Kent. It is surrounded by Chalk Cliffs, giving Ashmere a natural city look.
Is it connected to transport?[edit]
Yes! It is connected to transport! Other than bus stops in the area leading to the cities of Dartford and Greenhithe, in the nearby Bluewater, there are London Buses taking passengers from Ashmere to the heart of London. 3 Miles away is Ebbsfleet International where you can take the Southeastern Rail to other parts of Kent or to London. You can even take the Eurostar to the rest of Europe!
What about roads? Is it connected?[edit]
Yes, you can take the B255 to Greenhithe and to Bean. Also, you can take the nearby A2 to Rochester and to London and beyond. The M25 motorway is close to Ashmere, and you can use that to go around London or to airports like Gatwick and Stansted.
What is inside Ashmere?[edit]
There will be cafés and stores, to the convenience of the residents, and also natural areas for everyone to breathe clean air. Large parks bring more greenery to the area!
What was there before Ashmere?[edit]
Before Ashmere's construction started, it was part of the former Eastern Quarry, part of Ebbsfleet Garden City, but now, to help the growing population, the decision was made to build Ashmere.
