Ashraf Khamayisi
Ashraf Khamayisi is an Egyptian storyteller and novelist, born in Luxor, 1967. He waorks as an editor for Althaqafa Aljadidah (New Culture) magazine.[1]

Khamayisi has three story collections:

Awards[edit]
He won first prize in a short story competition for writers from all over the Arab world, organised by the newspaper Akhbar al-Adab for his story “The Four Wheels of the Hand-Pushed Cart". His novel " God's Land of Exile " made it to the long list of the International Prize for Arabic Fiction in 2014, while "Sharp Turning" long-listed for the Sheikh Zayed Book Award in 2015.[1]
