Ashraful Islam Siam (born 27 December 2003)[1] is a Bangladeshi cricketer who plays as a right-arm offbreak bowler. He represents Dhaka Metropolis in domestic cricket and was previously part of the Bangladesh Under-19 cricket team.
Early career
Ashraful represented the Bangladesh U19 team in various formats, including 3 Youth Tests, 5 Youth One Day Internationals (ODIs), and 1 Youth T20 International between 2018 and 2019.[2]
He was part of Bangladesh’s squad in the 2019 ACC U19 Asia Cup held in Sri Lanka, where the team finished as runners-up after losing to India in the final.[3] He also played in the only U19 T20I between Bangladesh and England in January 2019.[4]
In December 2019, Ashraful was named as a standby player in Bangladesh’s squad for the 2020 ICC U19 Cricket World Cup, where Bangladesh became champions for the first time in history.[5]
Domestic career
Ashraful made his first-class debut for Dhaka Metropolis in the 2024–25 National Cricket League. In his debut match against Barisal Division on 19 October 2024, he took five wickets for 73 runs in the first innings, helping enforce the follow-on.[6]
He continued to play for Dhaka Metropolis and also participated in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League in May 2025.[7]
