Early Life
Born in Mississauga, Canada in 1986 to a Canadian father and a Singaporean mother, Ashton migrated to Singapore at a young age and spent most of his life there.
Parkour
Ashton is renowned as the Parkour pioneer in Singapore and sometimes referred to as the founding father of Parkour Singapore.
In 2001, he watched a TV program, "Ripley's Believe It or Not?", featuring one of the earliest Parkour teams known as "Yamakasi." This inspiration led him to commence Parkour training and adopt its core values, effectively making him arguably the first recognized Parkour enthusiast in Singapore.
Ashton significantly contributed to the establishment and growth of Parkour in Singapore during its formative years (around 2001-2013). He accomplished this through workshops and public events, including multiple editions of the SHINE Festival, Street Festival Singapore, a youth festival organized by NYC, and Night Fest in Singapore. His media appearances exceed 15 instances. In 2008, he founded the first Parkour company, Ashton Movements Agency. However, as of 2021, the company is no longer operational.
Personal Life
While primarily recognized for his expertise in Parkour, Ashton is equally proficient in other domains closely related to his profession, including tactical shooting and wilderness survival.
Ashton is said to have suffered from hyperthyroidism during his youth.
On 28 December, 2025, Law released his long-term documentary project, Visions from the Borderlands. The film serves as a visual anthology of his humanitarian engagements within regional conflict zones spanning a 14-year production cycle.
