Ashvin Daulat Kamla Gidwani is an Indian Theatre Producer, Director, and an avid art curator. Known as ‘The Rohit Shetty of Indian Theatre’[1]. Ashvin Gidwani is the Managing Director & Producer of 'AGP World' who has over 25 years of experience in theatre and media.; and is a renowned for his plays like 'Devdas - The Musical', '2 To Tango, 3 To Jive', 'Blame It On Yashraj', 'Good Mourning', 'Barff', 'Mirror Mirror', 'The Scent Of A Man' & 'Bottoms Up' to name a few[2]. Throughout his professional career, he has explored every genre like Comedy, Drama, Musicals, Theatre, Family, International, Talent, Arts & Exhibitions.
After having laid a strong digital foundation in recent years, he has launched a new digital arm called 'AGP World One'.
Personal Life[edit]
Ashvin Gidwani was born in Mumbai on 05 September 1967 and is the son of Mr. Daulat Gidwani and Mrs. Kamla Gidwani. He studied Business Management at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, and then chose theatre as a career.
He learned the art of production and direction from [Ronnie Srewvala], [Hosi Vasunia], and [Sam Kerawalla].
Career[edit]
After completing college Ashvin Gidwani started theatre work with Ronnie Screwvala in 1989. He worked as Production Executive in 'Laezer Production' owned by Ronnie. He then joined Culture Club, a UTV division, where he curated and executed about 3,000 experiences for theatre and music, with maestros such as Pt. Ravi Shankar, Pt. Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, Pt. Birju Maharaj, Ustad Allah Rakha Khan, Ustad Zakir Husain, Pt. Bhimsen Joshi, Mallika Sarabhai, Sivamani and Billy Cobham, among others.
He then started his own company called ‘Clown R Us’ which later in 1995 became Ashvin Gidwani Production.[3] Almost 20 years later the production house was again rebranded to AGP World.[4] The company has a global presence across countries like Singapore, Dubai, and India.

Achievements[edit]
In 2015-16 he launched 'Blame It On Bollywood' written and directed by [Bharat Dhabolkar], which completed over 100 shows in India and globally.
Ashvin has also successfully executed more than 2,000 customised shows for his corporate clients with leading Bollywood and music celebrities and international sports celebrities Like Salman Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Anupam Kher, Kailash Kher, Taufiq Qureshi, Sivamani, Shankar Ehsan Loy, Steve Waugh, etc.
He has also signed up international artists under his banner like the German Mentalist Nicolai Friedrich, 'The Magnets' an acapella group from the UK, Standup Comedian from Ireland Jason Byrne, etc.
