Ashwani Kr Sharma[edit]
Ashwani Kr Sharma is a business professional working in the paper and packaging industry in India. He is the President and CEO of Asepto.[1][2][3][4][5] that leads the liquid packaging business of UFlex Group. He is credited for Foil Stamping and 3D Holography innovations in aseptic packaging business[6]
After the Government of India banned the use of single-use plastic[7] from 1 July 2022, Ashwani Kr Sharma launched Asip[8], the u-shaper paper straw brand of Asepto. Asip offers a sustainable option of plastic straws.
Early Life[edit]
Ashwami Kr Sharma was born 4 December 1969. He completed his Bachelor of Science in the year 1992 from Agra University, and did his Masters in Business Administration in the year 1994 from Institute of Management Studies, University of Indore.
Career[edit]
Ashwami Kr Sharma started his career as General Manager at Ballarpur Industries where he served for more than 9 years. In the year 2004 he moved to Estonia, European Union where he worked as CEO and Chairman of the Board at Horizon Paper and Pulp. After serving there for more than 7 years, he came back to India and joined Century Paper & Pulp, a BK Birla Group company, as its CEO and Senior President. Before joining UFlex Group as the President and CEO of its aseptic liquid packaging business, Sharma also worked with Asia Pulp and Paper for a short span where he was posted in United States of America and then in Indonesia.
