Asia Innovations Group Limited (AIG) is a live social company with more than 50 million registered users in over 150 regions worldwide. It was founded in 2013 by Andy Tian, Ouyang Yun, and Mingling Liu.[1] It operates in 18 offices globally in cities including Casablanca, Cairo, Yiyang, Delhi,Tokyo, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, and Dallas.[2]

The company has launched several recognized and popular products, including, Uplive, Lamour, CuteU, and Haya.[3][4]

AIG includes operations in 18 offices around the globe that integrate local live social knowledge to foster individual market development and penetration. AIG focuses on major emerging markets.

Asia Innovations Group (AIG) was jointly founded in 2013 by Andy Tian, Ouyang Yun, and Mingling Liu.[5] It operates in 18 offices in cities including Casablanca, Cairo, Yiyang, Delhi, Tokyo, Taipei, Ho Chi Minh City, Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, Hong Kong, and Dallas.[6][7]

Uplive[edit]

In 2013, AIG launched Uplive, an independent global video-social platform that allows video social hosts to broadcast worldwide and in real-time.[8][9] As of December 13, 2021, the platform has over 300 million registered users across over 200 countries and regions.[10][11][12]

Uplive offers a variety of features, including HTML direct gaming through the app and a gifting feature. It also allows joint live streams of up to 9 users and one-on-one streaming battles.[13] In addition, in partnership with Google, it provides real-time text-to-text and speech-to-text translations for over 120 languages.[14][15][16]

In 2018, Uplive received the “King of the Ocean” award at the 36Kr “King of the New Economy” Conference. Then in the following year, Uplive was named one of the most influential brands by Twitter.[17]

Lamour[edit]

In 2019, AIG launched a voice and video-based mobile dating app, Lamour, AIG’s flagship product in its dating-centric product matrix. Lamour’s features include real-time video, voice and text messages, and mini-games. In 2020, Lamour became the most downloaded dating-focused social app in emerging markets (MEM) and the third-most downloaded dating app outside mainland China.[18]

CuteU[edit]

CuteU incorporates real-time video matching, where users get to actually video or voice chat with each other first in order to make more informed choices about pursuing a relationship further. The app's real-time video matching function adds more meaningful layers to the dating process than traditional dating apps, which can base connections solely on appearances. In addition to fostering authentic connections, CuteU's proprietary artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics-based recommendation algorithm also helps increase the average matching rate on the app. CuteU ranked top 3 worldwide in downloads by App Annie.

Haya[edit]

Haya is a dedicated voice-centric social app for users who prefer to socialize and interact without using a camera. Haya currently targets South Asia and the Middle East users and will expand into additional regions.

China International Communications Network Co., Ltd. (CCNet)[edit]

China International Communications Network CO., Ltd. (CCNet) is an online payment service platform for Taiwan and Asian markets. CCNet offers integrated payment services and solutions through its Prepay platform.

CCNET won 12th place in the Commonwealth Magazine's "Fast 100" 2019 ranking of the 100 fastest growing Small and Medium Enterprises in Taiwan.[19]

Financials[edit]

AIG has raised its foundational funding over four rounds. AIG received its seed funding on November 1, 2013. Then on January 10, 2014, it received Series A funding from Fritz Demopoulos, MSA Capital, Shakil Khan, and Daniel Schryer. On April 10, 2016, AIG received its Series B funding from investors including Ventech, MSA Capital, and Wicklow Capital. AIG acquired Big Cat Entertainment on Oct 27, 2016.[20][21]

At the beginning of 2021, Asia Innovations Group raised $140 million from investors including Krieger, MSA Novo, Bradbury Group, Freeman Securities, and White Star.

Technology[edit]

AIG has ten active products and services, including JQuery, Google Fonts, and HTML5. Additionally, AIG actively uses 19 technologies for its website, including Viewport Meta, iPhone and Mobile Compatible, and SPF.

AIG is a rapidly growing company with over 500 million users. 29.1% of AIG users are in emerging markets, 19.8% in China, and 16.8% in developed countries.[22]
