Discovery and naming[edit]

The holotype, which consists of a partial right maxilla, vertebrae, armour plates, a proximal ulna, a proximal humerus, unidentifiable bone fragments, and a referred egg, were discovered by M. Asif Malkani in the Chitarwata Formation in Pakistan.[citation needed]

Asifcroco retrai was named and described by Malkani (2014).[1]

Description[edit]

Asifcroco differs from other crocodylids on the basis of large and thick oval alveoli with pneumatically enlarged fenestrae, and a thick and large maxillary ramus.[1]
