Asim Hassan Ali is a Canadian mortgage broker based in Surrey, British Columbia. He is the founder of the AIMI Mortgage Collective, a brokerage operating under the Dominion Lending Centres (DLC) network.[1] He is known for his frequent inclusion in Canadian Mortgage Professional (CMP) magazine's annual "Top 75 Mortgage Brokers" list.[2]
Early life
Ali was born in Lahore, Pakistan. He immigrated to Canada as a teenager in the early 2000s. His early career in the financial services sector began at Allied International Credit, where he worked in consumer finance and debt recovery before moving into the mortgage industry.
Career
Ali formally entered the mortgage business in July 2016.[3] In 2017, his first full year in the industry, he was named "Best Newcomer Broker of the Year" by Canadian Mortgage Professional.[4]
He founded Royalty Financial, a franchise of Dominion Lending Centres. This brokerage eventually expanded to form the AIMI Mortgage Collective, which serves clients in British Columbia, Alberta, and Ontario. The group provides residential mortgages, private lending, and commercial financing.[5]
Ali has been interviewed on industry platforms, including the I Love Mortgage Brokering podcast, where he discussed scaling his business to over $175 million in annual funded volume within four years.[6]

Ali has received multiple awards within the Canadian mortgage industry:
