Asit Vyas (born on July 27, 1959 in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India) is an Indian-American film producer and actor.

Career

Vyas made his film debut with *Zara Si Bhool* (translated: A Small Mistake), a Bollywood-style drama filmed in Hollywood. Despite production challenges, the film was completed and released on Amazon Prime in 2015.[1] In 2024, he produced *Paper Flowers*, a feature film based on the real life story of Shalin Shah, a young man who had resilience during a terminal illness.[2] The film commemorates Vyas's nephew who was a volunteer at the Peace Corps and graduated from USC. The movie was shown at the Palm Springs International Film Festival.[3] *Paper Flowers* has a cast that includes Olivia Liang, Kapil Talwalkar, and Tom Everett Scott.[4]

Asit Vyas's movie *Paper Flowers* was screened at the Sundar Prize Film Festival,[5] and it was shown at the Calgary International Film Festival.[6] Aside from his career as a producer, Vyas also worked as an actor and he played a role in the movie *Thank You, Come Again* next to Rohan Singh and Nirav Bhakta. The movie was shown at the South Asian Film Festival of America in 2020.[7]
