The Asker International School (AIS) is an international school in Asker, Norway.
History[edit]
Asker International School was established in August 2013 with just 39 students and 8 employees.[2] The school has since then grown in size, with approximately 600 students currently attending the school from over 40 different nationalities.[3]
In April 2023, two students from Asker International School finished third in the International Language Competition Norway finals.[4]
Facilities[edit]
The school possesses multiple facilities including a library, an indoor gymnasium, a laboratory and a multipurpose room. The school also offers lessons in various languages including Norwegian, Spanish and Mandarin. The school is authorized as a world school by the International Baccalaureate Organisation, and has curricular programmes developed by them.[5]; the IB Primary Years Programme (for ages 6-12) and the IB Middle Years Programme (for ages 11-16.)[6]
