Asman Airlines is the state-owned scheduled domestic airline of Kyrgyzstan and is the subsidiary of Manas International Airport OJSC. Headquartered in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, it was founded in 2023[1]
History
Asman is a 100% subsidiary airline of Manas International Airport.[2] In Kyrgyz language, "Asman" means "sky."[3] A falcon was chosen as the company's logo.[4]
Asman Airlines commenced operations on 27 September 2024 and the first flight operated from Bishkek to Osh.[5]
The airline accepted its first Q400 aircraft on 5 September 2024 and has an order for three more aircraft of the same type. On October 29, the second Q400 aircraft arrived in Kyrgyzstan.[6] The third will arrive in January 2025, and the fourth in May 2025.[7]
Starting from May 2025, all four Q400 aircraft will begin flights to all regions of Kyrgyzstan. The airports in Talas, Naryn, Karakol, Kazarman, and Kerben, which have been non-operational for the past 30 years, will resume service.
