Asoka Wijetilleke (also known as Asoka Wijethilake) was a Senior Deputy Inspector-General of Police in Sri Lanka.[1][2]
Early life and education[edit]
After being educated at Nalanda College Colombo and leaving school, Wijetilleke joined the Police Department.[3][4][5][6]
Career[edit]
He was also Director of Criminal Investigation Department (Sri Lanka).[7]. Asoka was one time Chief of Police International Affairs Range.[8] Asoka had been the Chairman of National Rugby Disciplinary Committee of Sri Lanka Rugby Football Union (SLRFU) and also Chairman of the Sri Lanka Police Rugby Association. He has also functioned as a member of the Anti Doping Disciplinary Committee for all Sports categories in Sri Lanka.[9] Senior DIG Asoka was also a member of the Committee of Inquiry into the Prison Incident (CIPI).[10]
