Asterix on postage stamps
Numerous postage stamps from various countries have released postage stamps depicting scenes and images from the comic book series Asterix by Goscinny and Uderzo.
List of stamps[edit]
Guernsey, 1992[edit]
A series of six stamps in 16p, 23p, 28p, 33p and 39p denominations. Commemorating the discovery of a Gallo-Roman shipwreck discovered in 1982 in St Peter Port harbour, off the coast of Guernsey. The stamps were commissioned by Guernsey post office, who asked Studio Legrain to design five stamps. The five stamps show the ship being built; being loaded; sailing; on fire and sinking.
France, 1999[edit]
