Astro Labe (Born 1984) is an Australian DJ. Moving to Tasmania in 1996,[1] Labe gained national and international fame after "Headbutting" former Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbot in Hobart on the night of the 21st of September, 2017.[1]

It has been suggested that Labes motive was due to Abbot campaigning against the Australian gay marriage referendum, which is what Abbot was in Tasmania for at the time. Labe was also allegedly wearing a "Yes" campaign badge when he headbutted Abbot. Labe denies this as his motivation however, instead claiming he headbutted Abbot due to his "Personal hatred" for Abbot, and had "nothing to do" with gay marriage.[2][3]

Labe's has also stated he is an anarchist.[2][4][5]

For the headbutting Labe was imprisoned for 6 months in April of 2018.[6] He was later released on parole in June of 2018, and had to pay a $2000 fine.[7][8]

Labe was also mentioned on a segment of Last week tonight.[6][9]
