astu (Unix)
astu (or astsu) is a fictional POSIX command, used to perform various functions in the Mr. Robot series[1]. The prefix as refers to All Safe Security, the security company Elliot works for, while su is the super-user command.
Usage example
In the pilot episode, the following commands are executed:
$> astu trace -pid 344 -cmd
$> astu -ls ./root/fsociety/ -a
$> astsu -info -backup -short
$> astsu -close port: * -persistent
$> astsu -ifconfig -disable
$> astsu -open port: * -persistent
It can be assumed that the command is part of a set of programs that are statically compiled to avoid corruption of a dynamic library on a compromised system.
