«At the Crossroads» (Russian: На перекрёстке) — is a Soviet animated short film directed by Nikolai Fyodorov and produced at the Soyuzmultfilm studio in 1958.

Plot

Gena's greatest joy was running along the street pavement, kicking an empty tin can in front of him instead of a soccer ball. Not only did he narrowly avoid being hit by speeding cars, but he also caused the crash of a brand-new bus. This incident was the final straw for all the street signs. The first to react was the Traffic Light. He jumped from his suspension to the ground and called everyone to him. The crosswalk arrows, the «STOP» letters, and other signs all came to life and responded to the Traffic Light's call. Gena was caught, brought to the assembled crowd, and... the trial of the offender began. It turned out that at school, Gena was a model student and even a team leader. But on the street... he was the first to break traffic rules. To teach Gena a lesson, Svetofor turned him first into a traffic cop, then into a driver, and created the same driving conditions for Gena that he created for others. It was with great difficulty that Gena realized his mistake.[3]
