Athens High School is a public high school located in Athens, Wisconsin. In the 2022-2023 school year it enrolled 124 students and had a student/teacher ratio of 9.76.[1] The school's sports teams are known as the "Fighting Bluejays."[2]
History
In 2023, the district was in danger of being shut down or having to consolidate its schools due to budget problems.[4] A referendum to increase property taxes to the schools passed solved this problem.[5]
Athletics
Athens High School competes in the Marawood Conference.[6]
Because of low participation in football, the Athens football team switched from 11-man to 8-man.[7][when?]
