Atıf Ünaldı: A Pioneer in Turkish Technology and Media[edit]

Early Life and Education[edit]

Atıf Ünaldı was born on December 23, 1973. He studied in the Physics Department at Boğaziçi University. During his years at the university, he set up the BBS system, making him the creator of the first internet network in Turkey.[1][2]

Career[edit]

  • Technology and Internet: Ünaldı was the General Manager of Turkey's first Internet service provider, Anadolu.Net, from 1994 to 1996.[3][4] He was also the internet supervisor for the World Air Games I in 1996 and 1997.[5]
  • Media: He has been a columnist for various technology magazines and has been involved in radio and television program production.[6] He has also been the editor-in-chief of T3 magazine.[7]
  • Consultancy: Ünaldı is the founder of Unaldi Consultancy, which provides services in technology and marketing.[8]
  • Academia: He has been a lecturer at different faculties of various universities.[9]
  • Books: He has published books including "Bilişim Sözlüğü" sponsored by Microsoft and Medicat.[10]

He is married to Selin Ünaldı and has two children named Su and Toprak.[11]
