The Attacca Quartet is an American String Quartet.[1]. Formed in 2003, the Attacca Quartet is known for its performances of traditional repertoire, as well as performing new works by such artists as Caroline Shaw [2], cellist-composer Paul Wiancko [3], and musician Rhiannon Giddens [4]. The quartet has won a Grammy for Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance.
Members
The quartet's current members are violinists Amy Schroeder and Domenic Salerni, violist Nathan Schram, and cellist Andrew Yee. Described by *The Washington Post* as "four strikingly individual players with the ability to speak eloquently in one voice" [5], the quartet has received a Grammy for their 2020 album "Orange", a collaboration with composer Caroline Shaw.[6]
