Audisankara College of Engineering & Technology is an Autonomous Engineering College in Gudur, Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh, India. The college is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE),"List of AICTE approved institutions (A.Y. 2016-17) as on 30th April 2016" (PDF). All India Council for Technical Education. Retrieved 13 July 2017. affiliated to JNTU Anantapur and functions as a private self-financing institution under the auspices of Aishwarya Educational Trust.[1]

Audisankara was established in 2001 to serve the students from rural backgrounds. The foundation stone was laid by Kanchi Kamakoti Peethadhipathi, Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Jayendra Saraswathi Sankaracharya Swamiji. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education affiliated to JNTU University Anantapuram and functions as a private self-financing institution under Aishwarya Vignan Educational Society. Audisankara is always pious to set the stage for the exceptional & indispensable student fraternity creating a broad spectrum of affirmative educational opportunities. From 2001, undergraduate courses offered are Computer Science.

Campus[edit]

ASCET is well-Known for its sprawling area of 15 acres built up area of 24222.9 sq.m a well planned for both students and faculty. The well-Equipped state-of-art labs in all of its disciplines area a testimony to this fact.

Computer Center over the 140 PCs. The facility is used for conducting Online Exams for students during placement by various companies the center conduct computer literacy test for selection of candidates of the state

Admissions[edit]

Students are admitted into the undergraduate programs based on their score in the EAMCET, a Common Entrance Test conducted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh, and into the postgraduate programs based on their ICET or GATE scores based on all India ranking. Audhisankara offers the Bachelors in Engineering (BE) courses in:

  • Civil Engineering (Civil) Department
  • Mechanical Engineering (Mech)
  • Electronics and Communications Engineering
  • Computer Science Engineering
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering

The Masters in Technology (M.Tech.) course is also offered for Computers, Electronics, and Communication students.

Engineering curriculum development[edit]

The college follows a 4-year duration (1 year + 6 semesters) with an external mode of examination for B.E/B. Tech programs and a 4-semester course for the M.E/M. Tech programs according to the norms of the JNTU.

The ASCET library has a seating capacity for 500 persons and follows the open access system.it has about 45,480 books covering a wide range of disciplines of academic and non-academic interest 600 back volumes of specific and technical periodicals. The library also subscribes to 200 specialized journals

Auditorium[edit]

ASCET hosts a number of national conferences, seminars, symposia, workshops and other academic activities every year. Most leading government and private companies, industries and academic institutions.

Placements[edit]

The Training & Placement Office of the Institute has the responsibility of *facilitating the Campus Recruitment Programme for all disciplines.

  • The Placement Office initiates and nurtures contacts with leading organizations for campus visits and is functional throughout the year.
  • It endeavors to match the aspirations of the students with the needs of the Industry. It also assists the students for Summer/Winter Industrial training.
  • The T&P Division also provides counseling and guidance to the students regarding the visiting organizations, selection procedure, preparation methods.
  • A team of Student Placement Coordinators duly assist the T&P Office.
  • The central computer facilities are adequate for an online test for about 300 students at a time.
  • The Auditorium, Seminar halls, and Interview cubicles, equipped with audio-visual aids provide the ideal venue for campus selection activities.
  • The Placement Office ensures and takes care to provide the best arrangement and hospitality for officials of the visiting companies.

Hostel[edit]

Hostel for girls students with all civic amenities is available on the premises of the college. The occupancy of the hostel rooms is restricted to two to three students for each room. Faculty members are appointed as wardens who monitor the facilities, hygiene, enjoyable so that the intimates have a happy, enjoyable and memorable stay.
