August Is Falling.[1] is a midwestern alternative emo band founded in September of 2001. Founding member Trevor recently posted an update about an album release set for September 2nd, 2022. Trevor was quoted as saying, "August is Falling was the perfect concept artist project, I had recently ended long distance relationship in August and it felt like my life was falling apart. That's when me and the guys from the local skate park founded an underground band. The name August Is Falling just stuck."
August Is Falling took a hiatus at the start of the pandemic, initially deleting their entire online presence. Their website read on the homepage "August Has Fallen." since March of 2020. On August 29th, 2022, Trevor uploaded a teaser video and EP release date for their first EP, Simple Plan. The website was updated with a cryptic message reading there is no hot tub[2]
August Is Falling has gained a cult like following, restarting their YouTube channel[3] August 28th and gaining 30,700 subscribers in a 24 hours period. The first single off of the EP was released on August 31, 2022 produced by Butch Walker[4]. That single, self titled as "August is Falling"[5] had 47,021 views in a 10 hour period.
