Aurateur (real name unknown) is a popular Twitch streamer and YouTuber best known for his gameplay of the Super Mario Maker series. Aurateur began streaming in 2015, and has since amassed over 140,000 followers on Twitch and over 40,000 subscribers on YouTube as of August 2020.
Early Life
Not much is known about Aurateur's early life, although it has been disclosed during his streams that he has two sisters. He also disclosed that he was born in Queens, NY, but then his family soon moved after that. He also mentioned he used to play Fifa 98 in his early days of college, a fact that made people speculate, based on how old people enter College in the USA, that Aurateur is around 40 to 42 years old.
Online Presence
Twitch streamer Aurateur (real name unknown) began live streaming in late 2015. He is well known for his Super Mario Maker gameplay, consistent streaming schedule, and iconic bald head. Other online personalities often refer to Aurateur as "The Bald Man," along with his own following. He has remained a popular figure in the Mario community due to his mastery of the game's mechanics, persistent nature, and ability to endure the "worst Mario levels imaginable".[1]
Aurateur's chat often feels the need to spam 'r' repeatedly, mostly through the text-to-speech program he uses to read donations aloud. Sometimes a 'w' or a 'b' can slip through, but it's mostly 'r's, moon viewing ceremonies, and '7s'.[2]
Notable Achievements
Aurateur's consistency has led him to become the #1 most watched Super Mario Maker 2 channel[3] throughout Twitch.
In early 2020, during the charity event Awesome Games Done Quick, Aurateur competed in a four versus four blind race with other popular Twitch streamers.[4]
In mid-2020, Aurateur was approached by Twitch Rivals to bring together a group of remarkable people to see if they could become something more. Aurateur brought together GrandPooBear, MitchFlowerPower, and Velhart. This elite death squad was a force to be reckoned with, and together, they annihilated the competition in Fall Guys Rivals two and three, taking home the gold trophy twice.[5]
