Aussievision is a fansite, YouTube channel, and podcast focusing on the Eurovision Song Contest, launched in 2017 by Eurovision fans Mike Jones and Dale Roberts.[1]
History[edit]
Aussievision began as a podcast in 2017 with a focus on the Australian experience and representation at the Eurovision Song Contest. Over the years, it grew into a fansite and social media presence, spreading itself further afield, although still with a main focus on Australia and their representative broadcaster, SBS.[2]
Some of the sites "fan journalists" have gone on to pursue careers in actual journalism, including political and sports journalism.[3][4]
In the lead-up to the 2023 contest, Aussievision founders Mike and Dale announced that their podcast would not be returning for the 2024 season.[5]
