Av LMKR NeShawn McCuien is a rap artist/writer/battle rapper, better known as "Av" or "Compton Av", born and raised in Compton, CA. He is also a founding member of "LMKR" (Loyalty, Music, Knowledge, Respect) (Label Me Krack Rated), an entertainment entity comprised of students, artists, and successful young people involved in music, film, dance, rap, and more. He has a popular mixtape hosted by Dj Carisma (Power 106) called Remember Me MakAvEli.[1][2] He currently has a popular single on iTunes with Kurupt and Snoop Dogg, titled ""Wonder Why They Call You B*tch"".[3] This track appears on Snoop Dogg's Snoop Dogg,That's My Work Vol. 1 Mix tape released in December 2012.[4] It was mixed by the renowned DJ BATTLECAT.[5]
BIOGRAPHY
A.V. is an artist inspired by his surroundings. He expresses himself through his music, drawing on his experiences. He is most influenced by Tupac Shakur and his philosophy. Driven to succeed while enjoying the process, A.V.'s current music explores his swagger, relationships, fantasies, and reality. His diverse music reflects the streets, parties, and experiences within them. A.V. is a rap artist, music producer, writer, and battle rapper, ready to embrace all aspects of the industry. MUSIC CAREER
2005-2008 BATTLE RAPPER A.V. established himself in the battle rap scene at venues like The Pit, Project Blow, and others in Los Angeles and surrounding areas. A.V.'s rap battle at The Pit, a video by DOUBLE-P, showcases his unique skills. He was co-signed by Redman at one of his battles, demonstrating his talent. Av Vs. Pryo[6] He was particularly skilled at dismantling opponents with his lyrical prowess, earning the respect of veterans from across the country (New York, Philadelphia, Detroit, Chicago, etc.).
2008/2009 He released a mixtape called A.V. Greatest Hitz[7] in April 2009 on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, etc. He also released singles ""I'm On""[8], ""Dougie""[9], and ""Tattoos""[10], which garnered over a million views. He secured a digital distribution deal for all three singles with CREATE.DIGITAL MUSIC.[11] CREATE.DIGITAL MUSIC partners with various organizations including INgrooves/Fontana, Universal Music Publishing Group, The Recording Academy, Harlem World, ASCAP, Grammy Camp,SESAC, BMI, Career Day, COOLRUCKUS Records, and The Society of Composers & Lyricists[12]
2010 Presented: Sagg Muzik Vol. 1[13] on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, etc. In 2010, the Sagg Muzik era began with the release of "HER, HER, HER." The single generated almost half a million views and sparked the RACHET movement. A significant album listening event was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center in June 2010.
2011 ALL ON ME[14] on iTunes, Amazon, eMusic, etc. In 2011, he released his mixtape "All On Me," a certified street smash. A video was produced for the single ""Need Somebody" (featured on World Star Hip Hop)," attracting fans globally. He joined Strictly Diversified INC[15], a non-profit organization supporting at-risk youth in the film and recording industries.
2012 "Mak-Av-Eli" April/ "Remember Me MakAvEli" September/ Atlanta Tour A tour to Atlanta with Young Life Entertainment/Big C-Style included appearances at The Salute The DJ Awards Show 2012 ATL[16], visits to Magic City[17], appearances on VH1's 2 Turntables and A Mic, a meeting with Sesac's Capriccio Scates(Director of artist & publisher relations), and a visit to Hot 97.5/107.9[18]. In September, he released a mixtape hosted by DJ Carisma (Power 106) featuring various artists. In December, he released the single "Wonder Why They Call You B*tch" featuring Snoop Dogg and Kurupt on Snoop Dogg's "That's My Work" mixtape.
2013 "T.H.U.G.G.I.N" (Take Hardship & Use Gods Gift Inspite of Negativity).
He is currently working on and scheduled to release his album, "T.H.U.G.G.I.N" (Take Hardship & Use God's Gift Despite Negativity) this year. He has secured a distribution deal with ChazBo Music[19] for February promotion in the San Francisco area, for Sheikh Shoes[20]. The "I GOTTEM SAGGIN EDIT VERSION" video will be shown 4 times a day in 74 stores throughout February 2013. An article on A.V. will appear in the One West Magazine June-August issue.[21]
